After a long flight from San Francisco, I made my way from London Heathrow airport to the conference hotel in Brighton. Luckily, my flight was not affected by the traffic control issues that caused havoc with many of yesterday's flights into London. I'm really glad I arranged for an early check-in, because I fell asleep almost as soon as I'd settled into my room.
I woke up very early this morning, and watched some of the local news. It's very interesting to see a non-US-news perspective on US events. Eventually, I headed downstairs for some breakfast and much needed coffee.
It's a really gorgeous day, so I walked around a bit...taking care to not get lost. In the pavilion gardens, I came across these wonderful green elephants.
The installation appears to be part of a campaign to save habitat for the Indian Elephant.
